In 2026, Formula 1 will introduce six Sprint races, with the return of Silverstone and the debut of Montreal, Zandvoort, and Singapore. The format, which has proven to increase TV viewership, continues to be successful. Sprint races feature four competitive sessions, with the main race on Sunday.

F1 on TV, dates to watch it on Sky and free-to-air on TV8
You can watch F1 for free on TV on TV8, live coverage of the following F1 2026 races: Italian Grand Prix Monza (September 6).
On TV8, the Sprint races are also broadcast live and free-to-air. Other races can be watched on TV8 free-to-air but delayed, usually at 6:00 PM on the same Sunday as the GP.
Sky Sport F1 is the Sky channel that broadcasts F1 with a paid subscription (Sports package). Sky Sport F1 broadcasts all Formula 1 races live, from free practices to the Grand Prix, along with numerous special contents, such as documentaries, interviews, and analyses. The Sky Sports package costs €24.90 per month for the first 18 months, then €30.90 per month. The package includes all Sky Sports channels, including Sky Sport F1, which broadcasts Formula 1 live. The Sports package is also available for streaming on NOW, Sky’s streaming service.
