Aston Martin, initially at the center of the rumors, <a href=\"https:\/\/f1.newsauto.it\/formula-1\/f1-budget-cap-verdetto-fia-9765\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">was found guilty only of a minor procedural irregularity<\/a>, without any exceeding of the spending limits. With the conclusion of the audits by the <strong>Cost Cap Administration<\/strong>, a new chapter in the control of team budgets thus closes, confirming the growing transparency of the financial system of the top series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">F1 Budget Cap, what did the FIA decide?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Budget Cap<\/strong> case closed without surprises. After days of rumors circulating in the Mexico City paddock, where someone, without any concrete evidence, had hypothesized irregularities by two teams and a possible procedural violation by Aston Martin, the FIA has clarified the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fia.com\/events\/fia-formula-one-world-championship\/season-2025\/cost-cap-administration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cost Cap Administration (CCA)<\/a><\/strong>, the federal body tasked with monitoring compliance with Formula 1&#8217;s financial regulations, has concluded the review of documents relating to the 2024 season. The analysis concerned the ten teams entered in the world championship and the five power unit manufacturers that will take part in the new 2026 era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After <strong>seven months of checks<\/strong>, the FIA has certified the full compliance of <strong>nine teams<\/strong> with the spending limits established for the 2024 championship. The only exception is represented by <strong>Aston Martin<\/strong>, which committed a <strong>minor procedural violation<\/strong>, but without exceeding the cost cap in any way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CCA specified that the irregularity was of a <strong>minor nature<\/strong> and due to <strong>unforeseeable circumstances<\/strong>, not depending on the will of the Silverstone team. For this reason, a <strong>breach agreement<\/strong> was entered into pursuant to Article 6.28 of the Formula 1 Financial Regulations, formalized last <strong>September 29<\/strong>, which officially closes the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FIA also recognized the <strong>full cooperation and good faith<\/strong> of Lawrence Stroll&#8217;s team during the entire review process.
