Las Vegas GP, who Won the Last Edition of the Race

In Las Vegas the night smiled on Mercedes, which found its way back to victory with a solid and flawless performance. George Russell claimed the win ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton, securing the team’s first one-two finish in over two years at that time. Las Vegas was also Russell’s third career victory, a result that confirmed his growth and rewarded the consistency he showed throughout the season.

Mercedes’ #63 managed the race with authority: starting from pole, he contained Leclerc’s initial attack and imposed his own pace, always maintaining a safety margin. Only in the final laps did Hamilton reduce the gap, but never really got close to his teammate. Mercedes thus celebrated a complete success, the result of a finally balanced car and flawless strategy.

Ferrari, on the other hand, experienced a more complicated evening. Despite bringing home a good points haul with Sainz third and Leclerc fourth, the Scuderia didn’t have the pace to fight on equal terms with the Silver Arrows. The tires suffered from graining already in the early stages and, despite an attempted comeback, the Maranello drivers had to settle for the lower podium positions and a more defensive than offensive performance.

Behind them, Max Verstappen finished in fifth position, a result sufficient to mathematically secure his fourth consecutive world title. The Dutchman managed a comeback race without taking risks, preferring to focus on the certainty of the championship rather than the podium.

McLaren limited the damage with Norris sixth and Piastri seventh, remaining in control of the battle with Ferrari in the Constructors’ championship. Completing the top ten were Hülkenberg, Tsunoda and Perez, who delivered a steady race without highlights.
