Teams and drivers of the F1 2025 Formula 1 Grand Prix season

The most significant changes in this 2025 Formula 1 season are mainly these:

  • Lewis Hamilton left Mercedes after a long career with the German team to join Ferrari, fulfilling his dream of racing for the Maranello team.
  • Andrea Kimi Antonelli, an 18-year-old Italian talent, made his Formula 1 debut with Mercedes, taking the seat previously occupied by Hamilton.
  • Liam Lawson was promoted to race driver at Red Bull alongside reigning champion Max Verstappen.
  • Jack Doohan debuted as an official driver for Alpine, while Isack Hadjar and Gabriel Bortoleto made their debuts with Racing Bulls and Sauber respectively.
  • After underperforming, Liam Lawson was demoted to Racing Bulls and Yuki Tsunoda took his place at Red Bull from the Japanese GP.
  • After the first 6 races of the season with results below expectations, Jack Doohan was replaced by Argentine Franco Colapinto at Alpine.
